چکیده

The paper proposes an analytical study regarding airborne radar imaging performances and accounts for a down-looking system moving along parallel lines far, in terms of probing wavelength, from the investigated domain collecting multi-frequency multi-monostatic data. problem is formulated constant depth plane by exploiting Born approximation. Hence, linear inverse scattering faced considering both Adjoint Truncated Singular Value Decomposition reconstruction schemes. Analytical simulated results are provided to state how achievable depend on measurement configuration. These practical usefulness because, operative conditions, it unfeasible plan flight grid made up high number closely (in wavelength) spaced lines. understanding availability under-sampled data affects allows trade-off between collection constrains reliable reconstructions scenario under test.

Multi-Channel Deconvolution for Forward-Looking Phase Array Radar Imaging

Abstract: The cross-range resolution of forward-looking phase array radar (PAR) is limited by the effective antenna beamwidth since the azimuth echo is the convolution of antenna pattern and targets’ backscattering coefficients. Therefore, deconvolution algorithms are proposed to improve the imaging resolution under the limited antenna beamwidth. However, as a typical inverse problem, deconvolu...

A Study of Frequency Properties for Forward Looking Imaging Radar

Autonomous UGVs (unmanned ground vehicles) has been extensively investigated it’s capabilities for military applications. In order to operate the UGVs on the open fields, they must be able to detect obstacles (eg. holes, stumps, rocks, etc) concealed behind vegetation canopies, as well as to detect surface. Forward looking imaging radar is necessary to autonomous UGVs for collision avoidance an...

Multi-Region Finite Difference Time Domain Simulation for Airborne Radar

Traditional finite difference time domain (FDTD) is classic numerical method for solving wave propagation problems such as electromagnetic wave, seismic wave and acoustic wave. As for airborne GPR simulation, modeling space is so large that memory consuming is pretty huge; on the other hand, the area between source antenna and ground surface is homogenous medium – air, where analytic solution c...
